Getting a replacement is easy if your card is registered!

Simply fill out the information below, and the CTA will send you a new card with the fare value that is on your card at the time you submit this request, minus a $5 replacement fee.

Replacement cards will be available for immediate pickup at CTA headquarters after you have submitted your request.

PLEASE NOTE: Once we receive a request to replace a Chicago Card, the current card is turned off immediately and it no longer works. Once the card is turned off, it cannot be reactivated or used again.
