CTA's
innovative Touch-n-Go unit is an electronic touchpad for customers to check
balances and add value to their Chicago Cards. Touch-n-Go units are available
at 55 Currency Exchanges and CTA head quarters. Previously, Chicago Card
customers could only reload their cards at rail station and offsite vending
machines. Touch-n-Go units now increase the number of outlets where customers
may easily add value and make Chicago Card a more convenient fare payment

Can
RTA Fare Checks be applied to a Chicago Card at a Touch-n-Go location?

FareChecks are accepted at most Touch-n-Go locations including CTA headquarters
at 567 W. Lake St. The maximum stored value is $300. Please call ahead to see
if the Touch-n-Go location nearest you accepts RTA FareChecks.

advantages does Touch-n-Go offer?

With
Touch-n-Go units, you can reload your Chicago Card at locations that are more
convenient for you. Bus riders, in particular, have more options because many
of the 55 Touch-n-Go sales outlets are near busy bus intersections.

All Touch-n-Go sales outlets sell the Chicago Card. Chicago Cards may also be
purchased online by visiting Chicago-card.com,
calling 1-888-YOUR-CTA (1-888-968-7282) TTY: 1-888-CTA-TTY1 (1-888-282-8891),
completing an order form from a Chicago Card brochure or coming in person to
CTA headquarters at 567 W. Lake St. on Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m.
and 4:30 p.m. Only the zero ($0) value cards are sold at this location.

Can I still add
value at CTA rail station vending machines? |

Yes.
You can add value at all 144 rail station vending machines. You can also add
value at ten offsite vending machines.

much does a Chicago Card cost?

Unless otherwise indicated by
the CTA, the $5 purchase fee for Chicago Card is waived for first-time users
who register their cards. The $5 purchase fee will be charged to customers who
elect
to not register their cards and for replacement cards.

How and where can
I use my Chicago Card? |

Chicago
Card is accepted for full-fare payment on all CTA rail and bus routes, and Pace
buses. To board a bus or enter through a rail station turnstile, simply touch
your Chicago Card to the touchpad on the front of rail station turnstiles and
bus fare boxes on all CTA and Pace buses.

| Will I
be able to obtain a receipt? |
|
|
 |
Yes. You will
be given a receipt each time you use a Touch-n-Go unit to add value or check
the balance on your Chicago Card. The CTA encourages you to keep this receipt
as proof of your transaction. |
